Greg Sedman

Position: Managing Director

Experience: Greg started his career as a trainee Production Engineer at Cable makers Australia and Hanimex. For fourteen years, he honed his skills in the manufacturing areas of factory supervision and management, time and motion study and factory layout.

In 1982, looking for a new direction, started work in the fire protection industry for the Wormald organisation for the next twelve years he worked in its subsidiary companies, Fire Control, Wormald Building Products and Fire Research. He took particular interest in the new technology of the time, Passive Fire Protection and worked in the sales, marketing and installation of these new products.

After a three year period as manager of Cemac Passive Fire Protection he was drafted by the Fireguard organisation to set up Nilfire as a contracting company dedicated to the installation of a complete range of products that encompass all aspects of this trade. In 2005 he bought the company.

Charles Burns

Position: Essential Services Manager

Experience: Charles Burns started in the Fire industry with Fire Control at Brookvale in 1988 as Project Manager on numerous Commercial and Industrial passive Fire projects in Metropolitan Sydney

In 1992, he progressed to Fire Systems engineering again at Brookvale and administered his commercial Project skills at various Sydney Commercial developments viz, ANA Hotel Corn Exchange Building and Sydney Opera House refurbishment.

In1996 he returned to Fire Control at Blacktown again as a Project Manager engaging in many Contract Passive Fire projects

In 1999 he moved to Mercury Engineering ( a division of Tyco ) as Essential Services Manager , having responsibility to many customers for Annual Fire Certification and maintenance issues , generally in the Commercial and Industrial fields

In 2005 Charles Joined Nilfire as Essential Services Manager with the aim of improving and guiding many existing as well as new customers through the Red tape of Annual Fire Certification especially in the field of Passive Fire Protection.

His main aim is still that of Passive Fire maintenance and upgrade works as well as Certification and liaison with Regulatory authorities as required for and on behalf of the Customer
